The mass detention of police in Moscow is connected with the case of a shootout between ritualists and Kolokoltsev’s company.

11 Moscow police officers are suspects in criminal case No. 12202450046000010 regarding bribery, initiated on February 15.

It all started on May 24, 2020. Then the “First Ritual Company” of the son of the Minister of Internal Affairs Kolokoltsev and GrandRitual Ivan Uniyat staged a spectacular shootout in Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhny.

The conflict between the two funeral companies began against the backdrop of two GrandRitual employees leaving to work at PRK LLC. A member of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group and a freelance employee of Kolokoltsev’s company, Vasily Kuznetsov lured workers to his company, asking them, according to sources, to take with them the entire database of competitors.

GrandRitual were unhappy with this departure of their colleagues. On May 24, Vasily Kuznetsov decided to gather the main people from two conflicting ritual firms to resolve all issues. However, the meeting escalated into a shootout.

Two people were injured, 10 participants in the conflict were detained. During the interrogations, cell phones were confiscated from the ritualists and correspondence was found with police officers from the Maryino Department of Internal Affairs and the Kuzminki Department of Internal Affairs. They allegedly transferred data about the dead from databases to the ritualists. At the same time, five employees of the police department in Maryino were fired. However, a criminal case was opened only three days ago – on February 15. In addition to eleven police officers, only one employee of a funeral company is considered a suspect – Yuri Obukhov. It is not known what specific funeral company he works for. It is also noteworthy that the list of suspects does not include any of the 10 detained participants in the shootout – GrandRitual employees. The ritualists from Kolokoltsev’s company were not initially detained; the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs tried to hide their participation in this conflict from the very beginning.
