The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region has completed the investigation of the case against Nikolai Kondrat, the son of the former Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Ivan Kondrat. According to investigators, a second-year law student at Moscow State University ordered an acquaintance to kill his driver, and also prepared an attempt on the life of the judge of the Moscow Arbitration Court, Elena Makhalkina, and two businessmen. At the same time, Ms. Makhalkina was supposed to be shot with a crossbow. Let us note that Elena Makhalkina appears in the case of a bribe that, according to investigators, Nikolai Kondrat’s mother, former arbitration judge Elena Kondrat, tried to give her. The defense calls all the accusations against Nikolai Kondrat fiction, pointing out that they are based only on the testimony of one person who entered into a pre-trial agreement. However, he testified that Nikolai Kondrat was planning a whole series of other high-profile murders, but the investigation did not find evidence of this.
