The Kuzminsky Court of Moscow received a petition from the investigation to extend the terms of arrest of journalist Alexandra Bayazitova and PR women Olga Arkharova and Inna Churilova. They are accused of extorting money from the vice-president of Promsvyazbank Ushakov for non-dissemination of defamatory information. The hearing is scheduled for October 4.

Arkharova and Churilova are cooperating with the investigation, which was demonstrated during the hearing on appealing the preventive measure chosen by them in the form of arrest. The court found that Arzarova was reasonably suspected of involvement in the crime “on the basis of the ORM materials presented by the SEB of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Arkharova’s own testimony, and Churilova’s testimony.”

Operational support in the case is carried out by the Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation, and the head of the Directorate, Ivan Tkachev, personally supervises the work. And all because Ushakov’s friend, the head of Promsvyazbank Pyotr Fradkov, asked him about it. It was Fradkov who was dissatisfied with Bayazitova’s publications.
