As the Cheka-OGPU learned, chief military prosecutor Valery Petrov responded to a recent appeal from Alaudinov’s lawyer Denis Shapiro (pictured). He withdrew the inspection materials from the inquiry department of the military unit and transferred them to the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, from where he was sent to the Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Shapiro expects that in the coming days investigators will open a case under the article “Attempted Murder” (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Let us recall that the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov reported on the attempt to poison the hero of Russia Apta Alaudinov in his telegram channel on February 13. The assassination attempt itself took place four days earlier. On February 8, Alaudinov received a letter by courier mail, which was opened by his nephew and adjutant. According to the major general, he immediately felt a pungent smell. An hour and a half later, the effects of the poison began. However, thanks to first aid in the medical battalion, he and the adjutant “came out of the situation well.” Both were later treated in a Moscow hospital and have now been discharged.
