The Investigative Committee of Russia completed the investigation of the case of the largest bribe for the ex-colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dmitry Zakharchenko-almost 1.5 billion rubles. Two co-owners of the 1520 group of companies (Civil Code of the Russian Railways) Valery Markelov (under custody) and Boris Uherovich (on the wanted list) are bribe giveers. As the sources said, this case could not have been if Markelov and Useovich were more accommodating in negotiations about the fate of “1520” with Arkady Rotenberg and his son Igor. After the resignation of the head of Russian Railways, Vladimir Yakunin (the main patron of 1520), it was decided that the Civil Code would go to the influential Rotenberg clan, so that the number of contracts from Russian Railways not only did not decrease, but increased significantly. The agreements stipulated that in fact it would already be the structure of the Rotenbergs, but until 2017, Markelov, Useovich and KO optimize the structure. When it was time to part with the 1520 Group of Companies in 2017, disagreement arose between Markelov, Useovich and Rotenbergs. The first two wanted to get the retained earnings of a number of the main structures of the Civil Code, including OSK 1520, for large amounts – more than 5 billion rubles, to the negotiated price of the Civil Code. The Rotenbergs considered the profit to be exactly from the moment the sale agreements were reached. Otherwise, they could even cut off the Civil Code from all contracts. In the midst of the conflict, the case was born about giving bribes to Dmitry Zakharchenko. As a result, when in October 2018 Markelov arrived from abroad in Sochi, he was sent into custody. Instead of the rapid arrest of all his property, Markelov was given the opportunity to reissue his assets to other people, but on one condition. The share in the 1520 Civil Code, being in a pre -trial detention center, rewrote to Alexei Krapivin. Crapivin is now a nominal holder of shares of 1520, which in reality belong to the Rotenberg. At the same time, Krapivin and manager from the Rotenbergs in the Civil Code. Markelov really hopes that he will be given what he has already served. Uherovich remains the owner of a share of 1520, but he is on the international wanted list and can not affect the activities of the Civil Code at all.
