The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation approved the indictment in the criminal case against Sergey Butorin and Marat Polyansky in the commission of the crime under Art. 317 of the Criminal Code.
According to investigators, Butorin was the leader of the stable armed group “Orekhovsky”. In 1995, in order to hide from the persecution of law enforcement agencies, he staged his death, after which he continued to lead the criminal activities of “Orekhovsky” from the Kingdom of Spain. In 1998, he became aware that the spheres of the influence of the “Orekhov group” and personally by his whereabouts were actively interested in an employee of the ROOP in the Central Administrative District of Moscow Petrov.
Fearing that the specified police officer may contribute to the suppression of the gang illegal activity, Butorin decided to commit his murder. Butorin appointed the direct performer a member of the “Orekhov group” Marat Polyansky, who reported information about the personality and place of residence of the police officer. Polyansky attracted Alexander Vasilchenko to commit a crime of a gang participant.
After preparing for the murder on December 3, 1998, Polyansky and Vasilchenko arrived at the place of residence of the police officer. In accordance with the distributed roles, Vasilchenko drove the car, and Polyansky from the passenger compartment of this car fired a 5.6 mm caliber from an automatic rifle to the head of a police officer. Death from the injury did not come in connection with the timely provision of medical care.
Believing that the police officer was killed, Polyansky and Vasilchenko disappeared from the scene.
After the approval of the indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow for consideration on the merits.
