The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigated by a criminal case against a number of former employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kamchatka Territory on the facts of receiving bribes for the protection of the illegal turnover of aquatic biological resources.

During the investigation, evidence of involvement in the commission of corruption crimes of the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kamchatka Territory Mikhail Kiselev. According to the investigation, in July 2020, he received a bribe from the entrepreneur through intermediaries in the amount of 2 million rubles for concealing the fact of seizure of unlawfully transported fish and its return to the owner.
Kiselev’s involvement in the commission of the crime is confirmed by the materials of operational-search measures conducted by the employees of the FSB of Russia, with a grateful testimony of intermediaries in the transfer of bribes, information on the enrollment of funds to his account.

Kiselev was detained, urgent investigative actions are carried out with his participation. The investigation plans to petition the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention and charges under Part 1 of Article 286, part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority; bribe on an especially large amount).
