The head of government signed a decree on the indexation of social payments from February by 9.5%

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to index social and military pensions on actual rather than forecast inflation.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reported that the Russian government approved a decree to increase more than 40 social payments by 9.5% from February 1, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

In addition, Mishustin instructed Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to control the issue of additional indexation of social pensions, and assigned the responsibility for military pensions to the first deputy chairman of the government Denis Manturov.

The government’s website specifies that pensioners will receive the first increased payments in February.

Among the categories that the increase will affect, Mishustin noted citizens with disabilities of all three groups, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and hostilities, heroes of Russia and labor heroes.

In addition, financial support for families with children will increase. The amount of maternity capital will be more than 690 thousand rubles for the first child and will exceed 912 thousand rubles for the second and subsequent children.

Also, annual indexation will be subjected to monthly payments for children with disabilities and disabled people from childhood of the first group.
