The head of government announced an increase in the minimum wage by 15% since 2025

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the minimum wage in Russia will grow by 15% since 2025 and amount to more than 22 thousand rubles a month, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

He explained that the amount of the minimum wage will be calculated based on the median salary in the labor market.

Last week, during the plenary meeting of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that since 2025, the ratio of the minimum wage and a median salary will be established in Russia.

He clarified that by this time the minimum wage will amount to 48% of the median salary and will be 22 thousand rubles, after which this ratio will gradually increase. In 2030, the minimum wage should be at least 35 thousand rubles.
