Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian government will allocate over 57.5 billion rubles for additional subsidizing preferential loans for agricultural manufacturers, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.
In order to increase the volume of agricultural products, preferential loans are provided to business. More than 57.5 billion rubles will be aimed at subsidizing such loans, Mishustin added during a meeting with deputy prime ministers.
According to him, there are already over 40 thousand such loans.
Mishustin emphasized that this decision is extremely important for ensuring stable work of enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in the agricultural industry. “We will continue to systematically support agribusiness, helping enterprises increase production volumes and actively enter international markets,” he said.
The Prime Minister also added that such support applies to both manufacturers and processors of the agro-industrial complex. According to him, significant investments are needed to maintain competitiveness in this sector, including the costs of acquiring modern equipment.
