The corresponding decision was signed on November 28, 2024.

In addition to such states as the USA, EU countries, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Norway, Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Liechtenstein, New Zealand was added to the list.

The ban is still applied to the import of a number of products, including meat, sausages, fish, seafood, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and other goods.

Recall that on August 6, 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On the application of individual special economic measures in order to ensure the security of the Russian Federation.”

The next day, the Russian government put a ban on imports from the United States, the European Union, Norway, Australia and Canada of a number of meat and dairy products, fish, vegetables, fruits, etc.

In 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers added to the list of countries in respect of which there is a ban on the import of agricultural products, raw materials, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Ukraine into Russia. In subsequent years, the embargo was extended several times, and the list of sanctions goods was adjusted.
