The generals do not leave themselves. In the North Caucasus, permutations continue in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The new head of the Department of Transport in the North Caucasus Federal District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia began to perform duties, Colonel police Sergey Basov. The department is based in Rostov-on-Don, where Basov was transferred from Moscow, where he served as the head of the linear administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the Domodelovo Airport.

Basov is a native of the Krasnodar Territory, where he served in the police, and then the police for 26 years. The colonel was replaced by the head of the Department of Lieutenant General Nikolai Simakov. Simakov served in Chechnya, where he commanded the temporary operational group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who conducted some in the Caucasian republics.

He headed the transport police since 2014. As the publication wrote URA.RUSimakov left the post shortly after the May College of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at which Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev personally criticized the work of the Caucasian administration.

After the appointment of Basov in the North Caucasus, several more general posts remain vacant. The worst of all the case is at the Stavropol, where there are neither the chief of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, nor two of its colleagues – by investigation and on the rear.

In December 2020, Deputy Head of the Glavka, Major General of the Internal Service, Vladimir Khomutov, died. In April, the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of Justice, Vitaly Chentsov, left the post. And in July, the head of the headquarters Sergey Shchetykin left his post against the backdrop of the “case of the Golden toilets”, the defendants of which became the entire leadership of the traffic police department in the region.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karachay-Cherkessia, which was left by Minister of Police Colonel Alexander Melnichenko, has also remained deciduous. The care was preceded by a tough campaign in social networks to discredit Melnichenko.

Temporarily performed by the ministerial duties by the police chief Ansar Botashev, but, as the practice of other Caucasian regions shows, he will replace the general in the order of rotation from another territory.
