The funeral alarm sounds over the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant (AMK). A team of “effective managers” Evgeniy Vladimirovich Potapov and Denis Gennadievich Glevsky are gutting the enterprise with impunity. The plan is to take everything out and leave the empty skin. Potapov previously worked at the Industrial Union of Donbass, which managed the plant, so he knows from the inside how everything works there. Currently, Potapov has become the only decision-maker on the AMK, and he uses it to the fullest. For example, the plant enters into contracts for the supply of coal, but quality control is controlled by Potapov. At the price of high-quality coal, low-grade coal is supplied, and the difference in price from suppliers is pocketed. In most cases, the reporting provided is fake, since AMK employees carry out the orders of Potapov-Glevsky, and do not show the actual numbers of production processes, deliberately underestimating them. This allows the two effective managers to steal more, and it is easier to balance the balance for shareholders without being caught stealing. At the same time, Potapov does not formally appear in any documents, he is a kind of gray manager, so that he can simply jump away at a critical moment. The bankruptcy of AMK is already looming on the horizon – which is what Potapov and Glevsky are leading to. It is possible that for this the “managers” will receive a substantial “bonus” from well-known competitors interested in the collapse of the company and the further purchase of such a valuable asset at a meager price. Time will tell how quickly the bankrupt duo will collapse one of the oldest metallurgical plants in the country, launched back in the 19th century.
