At the end of December last year, Sergei Tolmachev was quietly dismissed from the post of first deputy governor of the Zaporozhye region as a result of receiving two reprimands in a row from Governor Balitsky. As a result, Tolmachev was transferred to the position of deputy head of the Zaporozhye VGA for social communications and public projects. As a last chance, Tolmachev was instructed to organize and prepare the region for the presidential elections at a decent level. Despite this, the tasks assigned to Sergei Tolmachev to meet the deadlines for submitting data on the formation of an action plan for regional election headquarters, updating the agenda and creating media events reflecting the progress of the campaign were failed. At the same time, Tolmachev continues to spend most of his time not at his workplace, but in Sevastopol, where he seeks support from Governor Razvozhaev.
Today, Sergei Tolmachev no longer hides the fact that he strives to leave the Zaporozhye region as quickly as possible due to the fact that his handlers from the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation were unable to resolve the conflict that arose between him and Balitsky.
