The Federal Air Transport Agency is negotiating international flights

To date, direct flights from Russia are available in 38 countries.

The head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Yadrov said that the agency actively interacts with the aviation authorities of different states, discussing the prospects for the restoration of international air traffic, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

“Joint work with the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Economic Development on the development of international air traffic is constantly being conducted. We are in dialogue with the aviation authorities of many countries. Many countries that have suspended flights are ready to resume them,” Yadrov said.

According to him, there are states where Russian air carriers are already ready to fly, but important conditions remain.

He said that the department needs to obtain a clear confirmation that sanctions restrictions will not be distributed to maintain aircraft registered in Russia.

To date, direct flights from Russia are available in 38 countries. In 17 of them, flights are performed by both Russian and foreign airlines.

Earlier, on May 14, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, following a meeting of ministers of transport in the BRICS countries, announced the readiness of Russia to increase the number of international routes within this association and launch new directions.
