One of the important consequences of their subversive activities was the liquidation of the Russian Lawyers’ Union (PAS). The joint efforts of the FPA in the person of Pilipenko, the Minister of Justice Chuychenko and the Prosecutor General Krasnov led to the fact that the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation liquidated the PAR, the only effective advocacy organization in Russia, headed by Grigory Abukov (the right hand of the Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions, Mikhail Shmakov).

The key position during the trial surrounding the trade union was the position of the FPA. Representatives of this structure insisted that it was the FPA and the regional chambers of lawyers who should protect the rights of lawyers.
