According to the source of the Cheka-OGPU, in the Tver department of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Moscow, a pre-investigation check has been ordered into the illegal actions of Regina Smolenkova. According to investigators, Regina, in violation of clause 3 of Art. 6 Federal Law No. 62 “On Citizenship of the Russian Federation” dated May 31, 2002, did not notify, in the manner prescribed by law, the territorial body of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation about the acquisition of citizenship of the French Republic in 2020.
Former Foreign Ministry employee and secretary to Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov, Oleg Smolenkov fled abroad in 2017. Then it turned out that he divorced his first wife Regina Smolenkova. According to her, her husband, when he worked in the States, was close to the current assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov. The latter “drew” him to the capital under his command.
Oleg Smolenkov, according to Regina’s memoirs, had close contact with embassy worker Alexei Shilin, the twin brother of the same Alexander Shilin, who in May 2017 brutally dealt with his lady love and her young daughter, and then took his own life in his apartment on Leninsky Prospekt.
After returning to Russia (in 2008), Oleg continued to work for Ushakov as a secretary. According to his ex-wife, he carried out personal assignments. A year later, in the summer of 2009, Smolenkov broke up with Regina. And I only found out that he disappeared with his family in December 2017 (he left for Montenegro in June).
“Alyosha Shilin called me and said that there was an investigator in his office and asked me to ask her if her ex-husband had contacted her. He explained that he went on vacation and did not return. No details. However, the investigator at that time explained that Oleg was alive – this is one hundred percent known, and they are trying to establish his location. They probably thought that I had him in France,” MK quoted the woman as saying.
Apparently, Regina was never able to help the investigation.
