Senior Sergeant Mikhail Astanin disappeared on the evening of February 22. And the story of the disappearance of a local police officer from the Bachatskoye department of the Belovsky Ministry of Internal Affairs raises many questions.
Sources say the policeman reported for duty in the morning. Colleagues say that they did not notice anything unusual in the behavior of the district police officer that day. At 11 o’clock he received his Makarov pistol with 16 rounds of ammunition and went to work.
And already at 11:17 he withdrew 1 million 700 thousand rubles from an ATM, which he had issued on credit the day before. 
At 16:00 the policeman asked his boss to leave work, explaining that he really wanted to buy a new car. Mikhail Astanin’s boss released him, but the district police officer never returned to work or home.
After the disappearance of the local police officer, his colleagues found out from CCTV recordings that the last time the police officer was recorded on camera was at 18:20 at the bus station. Moreover, at this moment Mikhail is already in civilian clothes. The district police officer got on the bus to Kemerovo. Cameras also caught him in the city at 8 p.m. A man walks from the station in an unknown direction. From that moment on, the policeman was never seen again. The staff sergeant’s phone went off at 8:20 p.m.
A criminal case has been opened, and the police are still being sought.
