The dismissal of Rostislav Zasokhov from the post of deputy chairman of the Investigative Committee is quite natural, given his conflict with the chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin. One day, Bastrykin unexpectedly stopped communicating with him and completely ignored (even at meetings) his deputy up to the dismissal of the latter. No reason was explained to Rassokhov. They unofficially discussed in the TFR that Bastrykin was convinced: the races and a number of investigators were “traitors” working for the prosecutor general Igor Krasnov. This was repeatedly talked about this by Bastrykin was also talked to his deputy Eduard Kaburneev. Following were orders from Bastrykin. He forbade the employees of the Investigative Committee, including his deputies, to transfer the materials of criminal cases and preliminary investigations without his personal consent to the Prosecutor General’s Office from the TSA. All issues of the activities of the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Committee, as well as the Main Directorate for the Investigation of Particularly important cases (Gurovd), the headquarters in the North Caucasus Federal District, Investigative Department in this and Volga, Ural, Central and Southern Federal Districts, were entered by First Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee of Eduard Kaburneev. Previously, these functions performed capaburneys and races. Bastrykin also issued an order according to which the Main Directorate for the Investigation of Particularly important cases (Gurovd) of the Investigative Committee, previously supervised by Rostislav Rassokhov, will become part of the Main Investigation Department with subordination to the first deputy chairman of Kaburneev. All the investigators Gurovd were bred by the state.

The source said that such Bastrykin’s behavior is due to the long work of Kaburneev, which has recently been extremely close to the chairman. Kaburneev convinced the chief that investigators Gurovd were abusing alcohol, actually not subordinate to the chairman and were still noticed in corruption stories, and raking allegedly conducted intrigues against Bastrykin.

The turning point was that the chairman of the Investigative Committee was covered by previously unknown moments about how separate materials on investigator Ruslan Minihakhmetov found themselves on the table by the Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov faster and larger than that of Bastrykin himself.
