The deprivation of the lawyer status did not become such an unfamiliar procedure for Alexander Dobrovinsky. In the summer of this status, the head of the English representative office “Dobrovin and partners” Natalya Levinzon lost this status. The English representative office was found guilty of the connivance of money laundering. The disciplinary tribunal of solicitors examined the case of Natalia Levinzon, head of the London Bureau of Dobrovinsky and Partners. As a result, Levinzon was found guilty that the representative office helped its customers in the purchase of real estate, while not checking the sources of the origin of the funds. And many transactions belonged to the “red flag indicator”, that is, “dirty” money went to buy. Clients were mainly Russian and Ukrainian. The court decided to remove Levinzon from the practice of a lawyer for nine months. Punishment is considered to enter into force on July 14, 2020. The tribunal also decided that Levinzon is prohibited for two years to be the leader, owner or partner of any bureau. Dobrovinsky did not wait for the decision of the tribunal and liquidated the London bureau in the last year when the trial was launched.
