Sergei Zubov said that he does not agree with the dismissal, and even more so with the threat of criminal prosecution, because the escape of the criminal is a consequence of huge problems in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and in particular in their small police department in the Karasun district of Krasnodar. Moreover, according to the policeman, the detained Vahan Amirkhanyan was required by law to be immediately taken to a temporary detention facility – he had already been arrested in absentia for theft, and should not have been in a cell at the Ministry of Internal Affairs department. But the police officers who detained Vagan brought him without the original documents, so he would not have been accepted into the temporary detention center and the detainee had to be left at the police station, which was already crowded with detainees.
Operational duty officer Sergei Zubov and his assistant Konstantin Ovcharenko were fired from the police station in the Gidrostroiteley microdistrict of Krasnodar after the detainee Vahan Amirkhanyan released the bars on the windows of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department and escaped.
