During the First World War, many Russian newspapers and magazines published portraits of soldiers and officers who died at the front. For example, in the heading “The Death of Brave” illustrated application to the “New Time”, December 6 (19), 1914, photographs of Captain A.V. Andreeva, Second Lieutenant B.V. Galfter, Cornet N.B. Okuneva and others. Even in this issue, you can find portraits of heroes – Lieutenant B.B. Ibragimova and Colonel A.M. Krymova; presented to George of the 4th degree of the headquarters captain P.V. The main military newspaper of the Russian Empire was “Russian disabled person“. This publication with more than a centuries -old history – the first issue was released in 1813. The “Russian disabled person” was founded by a private person, a doctor of philosophy and official Pavel Pezarovius, with charity goals – to raise funds “to help disabled people, soldier’s widows and orphans”.
In 1914-1917 The newspaper published lists of killed, wounded, missing, official orders and orders, detailed combat reviews, and awards on awards.
During the Great War, military seal was very developed in Russia – front -line newspapers were published (including Southwest, Western (fronts, army (“Bulletin of the X Army“,”The voice of the III Army“Et al.).
