The Basmanny District Court of Moscow satisfied the requirement of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation to seize and appeal to the state of property of the former member of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Rauf Arashukov and the former deputy of the People’s Assembly of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic of Raul Arashukov.
Earlier, in accordance with the Federal Law “On Combating Corruption”, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation conducted a check of the conformity of their income and expenses.
It was established that with the total income of Arashukov and their families from 2004 to 2019 95 million rubles, they purchased property for 1 billion 560 million 908 thousand 793 rubles.
So, during the period of being in various positions in state authorities and local self -government, Raul Arashukov and Rauf Arashukov acquired 97 real estate objects, including Apartments, residential buildings, a three-story hotel Adi-Palace, a restaurant, a bath complex and land with a total of 1 billion 423 million 948 thousand 402 rubles, 22 vehicles with a total value of more than 83 million rubles, a significant number of luxury and decoration items, including Jewelry, elite hours and 6 gold ingots per bag over 54 million rubles.
In order to conceal the fact of possession of significant financial resources, the specified property was recorded for relatives, personal drivers and guards. Legal sources of income that would allow Arashukov to purchase real estate and vehicles registered on them.
Thus, the results of the audit revealed a clear inconsistency of the income of Raul Arashukov, Rauf Arashukov and their relatives of the value of their property.
Given the established circumstances, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation filed a civil lawsuit against Arashukov on the appeal of the identified property in state revenue.
The lawsuit was sent to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation with a motion to change jurisdiction, since its objective consideration at the place of registration of the defendants was impossible.
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation decided to consider the claims of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation in the Basmann district of the Court of Moscow.
The court satisfied the claims of the prosecutor’s office. The total amount of real estate, vehicles and money applied to the income of the Russian Federation amounted to 1 billion 560 million rubles.
