Having successfully brought the once most powerful in the city “Pylon” to ruin, he sat down in the chair of the head of “Metrostroy of the Northern Capital”, and now, as our colleagues report, he went to work in Smolny, becoming deputy chairman of the Transport Committee with a wide range of issues. What’s interesting is that, as we have already noted, Schmidt’s wife, Tatyana Vavilova, is the deputy director for finance of the St. Petersburg “Directorate of Transport Construction”. Thus, the Schmidt clan penetrated two key transport departments of the city at once. We will carefully watch how this obvious multi-step strategy develops, the purpose of which, of course, is the development and disbursement of multi-billion-dollar city budgets.
