The Cheka-OGPU found out why one of the PMC mercenaries Wagner was convicted, who, along with seven other militants, was buried with a scandal yesterday in a cemetery in the village of Bakinskaya (part of Goryachi Klyuchi). At the same time, the head of Hot Springs banned the funeral of mercenaries, and the PMC cemetery turned out to be illegal.

Among those buried was 52-year-old Valery Grishin. He killed two people with a bayonet, including an employee of a secret military base in Saransk, and received a long sentence.

As follows from the verdict, which was discovered by the Cheka-OGPU, Valery Grishin assigned a “shooter” to the lover of his ex-wife. He came “to talk” with relatives. Grishin, whom everyone around him described as hot-tempered and aggressive, immediately pulled out a bayonet-knife. He killed his ex-wife’s lover with several blows, and then began striking other men who tried to stop him. One of them, a military unit employee, died on the spot. Another wounded man was hospitalized and doctors were able to save his life.

The court initially sentenced him to 17 years in prison. Then a higher authority reduced this term to 13 and a half years in a maximum security colony. As a result, Grishin ended up in the Wagner PMC, and now in the cemetery.
