From the materials of the criminal case it follows that they could not have been unaware of Alexander Shilin’s manic tendencies either at home or on Smolenskaya Square. Contrary to all versions of a conflict, momentary insanity or even murder, the fact that the diplomat is “not all at home” has been whispered in the Foreign Ministry for a long time. The key witness in the case, who washed dirty laundry in the ministerial hut, was the wife of the grandson of former USSR Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko, Yulia Gromyko.
The testimony of the adviser to the Russian Embassy in Australia (Yulia Gromyko is also in the diplomatic service) states that she previously had a close relationship with Alexander Shilin for a long time. According to her, a colleague repeatedly suggested that she commit suicide together. He spoke very poorly about his ex-women, for example, about his love story with Anastasia, whom he later killed along with the child. According to his confession, he lost heart, listened to his parents and broke up with her. Other witnesses said that Alexander Shilin called her “poetess.”
Yulia Gromyko separately and in detail recounted the diaries of Alexander Shilin, in which the diplomat confessed that he loved to watch videos about dead young girls and was obsessed with ideas of murder. He repeatedly offered Julia sophisticated scenarios to drive Anastasia to suicide.
According to a witness, an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly had thoughts of suicide, and a year before the tragedy, in 2016, during a business trip to Jakarta, Alexander Shilin tried to hang himself. The narrator literally took him out of the loop; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs knew about the emergency, but immediately “hushed it up.”
Periodically, the diplomat asked Yulia Gromyko to imagine how he was killing her and to retell her fantasies. Also, based on this, he wrote stories in which all the girls are killed.
