The source said that last weekend the director of the Ural branch of the Forensic Expert Center of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation was contacted by the head of the department of criminalistic support of the investigation of the Main Directorate of Forensic Science of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Eduard Ivanov (both are located in Yekaterinburg). The latter reported on “work” with the body of the convicted Navalny from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and was interested in the branch’s capabilities in the field of research on “digestion and food intake.”
It is not known whether SEC employees were instructed to carry out the examination. It is not known whether the fact that if the research is supervised by the zonal department of the State Administration of Ukraine means that the body of the politician could be transported to Yekaterinburg, which is quite possible: in recent days there have been several flights from Salekhard to the capital of the Urals. However, the fact is that the research in the Salekhard bureau of medical examination, where they stubbornly deny that the remains of Alexei Navalny are in their morgue, was not limited to research. They could connect the main forensic machine of the Investigative Committee only with the permission of senior management, and this could be done either by discovering the “criminality” in the death of the oppositionist, or in order to hide traces of the murder.
The Cheka-OGPU tried to contact the director of the federal center for medical examination, Igor Makarov, on the issue of research into the body of Alexei Navalny. But the chief freelance specialist in emergency medical services of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation replied that he was “interacting with investigators on this topic.” In response to an attempt to ask questions to the head of the forensic support department of the investigation of the Main Directorate of Forensic Science of the Investigative Committee in Yekaterinburg, Eduard Ivanov, the interlocutor forwarded all questions to his supervisor, the head of the State Criminal Investigation Department. According to him, the latter personally supervises all events.
