The Cheka-OGPU found confirmation that the current cases against the administrators of telegram channels are the result of a battle between the security forces and the Kremlin “towers” at the highest level. As it turned out, at the instigation of Rostec director Vasily Brovko, the case against the general director of the Digital Soft company Anton Safonov (who is associated with the “Provisional Government” and “Nebrekhnya” channels) is being actively tried to be redirected to Safonov’s senior partner in the media business, Fedor Shcherbakov (the second co-founder of “ Digital Soft”). Shcherbakov is a former employee of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, who now holds the position of head of Lenfilm. He is also the founder and owner of the 1MI holding, which manages the Oil and Capital magazine, the online publication New Izvestia, a number of regional publications, etc.
According to the source, the investigation does not hide the fact that it is intended to prove that Shcherbakov is the ultimate beneficiary of a whole network of large telegram channels, which may include “Provisional Government” and “Nebrekhnya”. As a result, questions about Shcherbakov are asked during interrogations to almost all persons involved in the case. They are asked for a reason, but, according to the source, on the initiative of Vasily Brovko, who has the status of a victim in this case.
We will find out in the near future whether these questions and a similar attack will stop after the apology that the “Provisional Government” channel brought to Brovko and the mass of officials. In any case, Safonov, who is in custody, categorically denies his guilt, as well as his involvement in the “Provisional Government”.
