The Cheka-OGPU discovered documented evidence of arms trade in the front-line regions of Russia, from which it follows that an AK-74M assault rifle with cartridges can be purchased from the Russian military for 15 thousand rubles. This is what a resident of the Belgorod region did, providing humanitarian assistance to contract soldiers. From the indictment against the “buyer” it follows that during a conversation with one of the military men at the railway station in September 2022, he “inquired about the possibility of purchasing a weapon for self-defense.”

The military man, who shortly before meeting the convict had entered into a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense to participate in hostilities in Ukraine, offered his interlocutor to purchase a Kalashnikov assault rifle. He agreed and left to get the money, and when he returned, the contract soldier got into his car and gave him the AK-74M with a loaded magazine. On the same day, when the Belgorod resident arrived at the station again, the military man gave him five grenades with fuses and zinc with 5.45 mm cartridges.

The next day, the police detained the “buyer” and found an entire arsenal in his home. In addition to the machine gun, grenades, magazines and cartridges, he kept a hunting carbine and pistols. The latter, however, legally belonged to the son of the convict. The court sentenced a resident of the Belgorod region to five years of probation and a fine of 15,000 rubles – the cost of the machine gun. The man was also placed on probation for three years. The verdict came into force.
