Relatives of the driver of the first truck, which, according to the FSB, brought explosives to Armavir, told the Cheka-OGPU that the carrier had disappeared and had not been in contact since Sunday.
An Armenian by nationality and a citizen of Armenia, Artur Terchanyan, whose name was published by the FSB Center today, is engaged in cargo transportation and lives with his family in the Georgian Akhalkalaki. From time to time he transports various goods to the Russian Federation. According to his relatives, he takes orders on the Internet and from a friend named Sandro. The truck in which the carrier last crossed the border belongs to the latter.
As Arthur’s wife Zhenya told the Cheka-OGPU, her husband left home on September 26 and went to Poti to pick up cargo. From there he traveled to Armenia, and then returned and crossed the border with the Russian Federation through the Upper Lars checkpoint. On the way he called her. On October 2, he sent her a photo (attached), explaining that he was going to the border.
On the evening of October 5, Arthur called his half-sister (on his father’s side, he died last December) Anaida, who lives in the village of Zavetny, not far from Armavir. At approximately 21.00 he came to visit her and stayed overnight. Neighbors saw the same DAF truck parked near the house. In the morning he went to Armavir.
The last time Arthur called his wife was on Sunday, October 9 at 12.43. The carrier told his wife that he was in Upper Lars and was on his way home. FSB officers detained him there.
