In New Moscow, a woman complained about a man she didn’t know who was “launching a drone on a rope.” A police squad arrived at the scene and detained the leading engineer of the Federal State Budgetary Institution IZMIRAN (Institute), who, on instructions from management, was conducting an experiment with installing an antenna on a tree.
A call about the launch of an aircraft-type UAV with a wingspan of 2 meters on Shosseynaya Street brought almost the entire police department to its feet. A local resident saw through the window how four men pulled a huge quadcopter out onto the street and reported at 02. First, a police patrol squad arrived at the scene, and then the opera and its leadership. They detained the director and employees of a startup specializing in UAVs. It turned out that the company is a resident of Skolkovo and its employees were testing the communication channel, and not making a flight.
Over the weekend, drones were observed in both Moscow and the Moscow region. There were no noteworthy moments/accidents.
