The Cheka-OGPU became aware of the scandalous situation that is developing around one of the founders of the hacker group The Infraud Organization, Andrei Novak (Unicc, aka Faaxxx), who was detained in January by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

On March 16, his arrest period was extended. Lawyers insisted on changing the preventive measure to one not related to detention.

Among the defense’s arguments, it was stated that: Novak independently came to the police to confess and reported the crimes committed, thereby actively assisting in the investigation of the criminal case; voluntarily handed over all documents and technical means that were of interest to the investigative authorities; provided the investigative authorities with passwords from all technical means to gain access to them, and also, as part of the inspection of the equipment, actively explained the internal structure of the software of the technical means for the purpose of disclosing his activities; gave incriminating evidence against persons carrying out criminal activities; provided investigators with access to his cryptocurrency assets.

It is around these “cryptocurrency assets” that the scandal is developing. A source familiar with the situation claims that at the time of his arrest, Novak had access to “cryptocurrency assets” in the amount of 500 bitcoins. However, only part of the wallets containing 125 bitcoins were included in the seizure protocols. Already on January 24, the first “test” withdrawal of bitcoins from wallets by unknown persons began. And from February 2 to February 6, absolutely all of Novak’s “cryptocurrency assets” were withdrawn, including those that were included in the protocols. A trial is currently underway regarding this matter.
