Some of the black schemes involving elections in the region came to light after an unexpected conflict between the governor’s administration and the New People party. The Cheka-OGPU has already written about how the special unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs F”E” was set against the candidates. However, for a long time no one could understand why it was necessary to stir up a conflict with the completely systemic New People. As it turned out, Seravin simply concluded a deal, as a result of which he had already sold places on the party list to a group of people affiliated with Legislative Assembly deputy A. Makovsky. Having already received the money, he suddenly encountered the reluctance of the federal leadership of the party to appoint his candidates. Then the vice-governor tried to reach an agreement with the deputies separately. They managed to intimidate some and force them to withdraw, but others, on the contrary, took a bite and decided to stand until the end. This was the beginning of the declaration of vendetta against the New People, although it would have been much easier to allow them into the campaign and win it electorally, rather than by force.
But, realizing that they would have to part with the money received from sponsors, the Pskov authorities decided to punish the New People by completely removing them from the lists. Seravin was so confident in his abilities that even before the trial began, he gave the command to the city commission to cross the party off the lists. At the same time, the commission also decided to make extra money by ordering a second copy of ballots, without any party at all. Imagine their surprise when the court sided with the New People and restored their list. Actually, it was this problem with double ballots that became the prerequisite for forceful pressure on the party. To cover his tracks, Seravin had to take extreme measures and still put pressure on the candidates so that they themselves withdrew from the elections, thereby destroying the lists. It is likely that in the end both versions of ballots will be delivered to the polling stations, which creates a danger – the elections may simply not be recognized as valid.
It was because of these shortcomings that Governor Mikhail Vedernikov was pulled to Moscow, where he had to explain himself to the curators of the internal political blog on Old Square. There, Vedernikov was clearly hinted that if, as a result of the elections, Pskov becomes a scandalous city, then his early resignation with the transfer of work to the territory of the LDPR is quite likely. Seravin, as a result of the campaign, may simply be fired with a “wolf ticket”, since he had previously stolen in St. Petersburg, from where he was expelled by Beglov’s team. It is dangerous to send corrupt officials to Donbass, where such situations are sometimes suppressed under martial law.

The security forces were given the command to “dig under the party”, and harshly – with criminal charges. The task was assigned to the “E” center for the fight against extremism.…
