Arkady Berkovich is one of the main defendants in the case of the superkiller brigade Aslan Gagiev (Dzhako). From the case materials it is clearly visible that in Moscow, Dzhako’s brigade eliminated some of the people at the command of a shadow banker with connections in Berkovich’s intelligence services. In particular, Berkovich was accused of participating in the murder of: banker Alexander Slesarev and his family; Chairman of the Board of Kutuzovsky Bank Oleg Novoselsky; co-owner of National Capital Bank Dmitry Plytnik. Berkovich was arrested.
Alexander Gofshtein defended him. Berkovich was kept in a pre-trial detention center for 1.5 years, deliberately delaying the investigation. Then his preventive measure was changed to house arrest. “He sat” in his luxurious and huge mansion on Rublevka. Then he could be found in the most expensive Moscow restaurants. And now Berkovich, according to a source of the VK-OGPU, completely left for Brazil, where he settled.
What is happening is not surprising. Berkovich was a representative of the companies holding the shadow financial common fund (in his jargon of the pool) Russian Railways of Russia. He worked with the sons of the then head of Russian Railways, Vladimir Yakunin. Berkovich also worked with money from large organized crime groups, in particular his partner was Aslan Gagiev (Dzhako). Berkovich was also a partner of high-ranking officials of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
