As sources described the cafe where military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky was killed in an explosion, this is the place “that has long been forgotten.” All local employees know that the establishment is “Prigozhinsky” and any events there have always been avoided. After the explosion, a full complement of operatives from the St. Petersburg “killing” team worked at the scene of the incident. Very soon they managed to get on the trail of the donor of the bust (at that time only her pseudonym was known – Nastya) and the employees of the “custom” ORCh (a homicide unit specializing in contract killings) sat down to analyze the CCTV cameras. And then it became clear what it was later decided to keep in the strictest confidence.
According to the Cheka-OGPU, operatives to this day have only one full piece of video footage from cameras on Vasilyevsky Island. Namely, the camera from house number 10 on the 5th Line V.O. I recorded how Daria, with a box in her hands, came out of the arch from the territory of the Russian Academy of Arts (there are workshops, drawing classes, the dormitory of the Russian Academy of Arts and apartments, one of which was rented by Trepova) at 17.12. The girl walked with a confident gait to the Street Food Bar No. 1 cafe, but for some reason she walked past the entrance and turned onto the next street, where she was in a blind spot for about two minutes. The police specifically took her route, but in that exact place there are not even private cameras. According to our data, due to the high traffic, the operatives did not even begin to compile a list of cars and people with whom Daria could theoretically have crossed paths there. The further chronology until her departure from the institution is known. Trepova barely walked a couple of tens of meters, she was stunned and dumbfounded. The video shows how Daria stopped and called someone, and after the conversation she ran as fast as she could. 
At 18.17 she ran back into the same arch near house 1-3 on the 4th Line of V.O., where she rented an apartment. At the same time, there are no video recordings about when and how Trepova initially arrived there, what happened in the yard where she “dissolved,” and, most importantly, how she left there. Even the technician specially assigned by the operatives was unable to gain access to the archive from the CCTV cameras (there are sufficient numbers of them and they “blow through” the entire territory, including exits to large streets). According to the specialist, the cameras on the territory of the Russian Academy of Arts, exclusively in this square, did not work on April 2 in the interval from 08.00 to 18.40 – during this time there are no records in the archive. During this time, cars and people entered this territory, and thanks to this, Daria was able to leave the apartment in an unknown way. It is unlikely that this failure occurred by accident. And there is even less chance that the cameras could be turned off from Ukraine.
