He said: “cigarettes or a bullet in the forehead.” My colleague thought he was joking, he said, it’s better to take a bullet in the forehead, but he grabbed it and started shooting at the ceiling, and covered us with choice obscenities,” one of the saleswomen told the Cheka-OGPU.
