The chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case against the deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code (illegal hunting).

The investigation found that on the night of October 28 to 29, 2021, on the territory of the Lebedka hunting farm in the Saratov region, Rashkin, armed with a carbine belonging to him, along with other persons, having no appropriate permission to prey of hunting resources, carried out the search, tracked and prey and prey moose. Having killed a wild animal, Rashkin took measures to conceal his weapons, after which the accomplices made the primary processing of the moose obtained using the knives and ax available with them. They placed parts of the cooked mascara in the luggage compartment and interior of the Lada Largus car, and then left the hunting place. Subsequently, the car was detained by an employee of the Hunting and Fisheries Committee of the Saratov Region, who revealed the fact of illegal production of a wild animal.

Earlier, on the basis of the materials collected by the investigation by the Decree of the State Duma, the consent to deprivation of Rashkin deputy inviolability and the initiation of a criminal case against him.
The necessary investigative actions are carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
