The decision to maintain the key rate at the same level of the Central Bank explained by the fact that the current inflationary pressure remains high, and the growth of internal demand is still significantly ahead of the possibility of expanding the supply of goods and services.

It is noted that the regulator predicts the average key rate until the end of 2025 in the range of 19-22%. In 2026, it will decrease to 13-14%, in 2027-to 7.5-8.5%.

The Central Bank will evaluate the feasibility of raising the key rate at the next meeting, taking into account the speed and stability of inflation reduction.

An annual inflation in Russia, according to February 10, amounted to 10.0%.

The inflation forecast in 2025 is increased to a level of 7-8% with 4.5-5%, which were previously predicted. The forecast for the average key rate of 2025 is increased to 19-22% from 17-20%.
