The Central Bank does not exclude a decrease in consumption in 2025 by 1% or an increase of 4%

Earlier, the Bank of Russia expected an increase in this type of lending this year in the range from 4% to 9%.

The Central Bank of Russia revised its forecast for unsecured consumer lending for 2025, allowing its reduction to 1% or insignificant growth to 4%, the correspondent reports The Moscow Post.

The regulator expects a slowdown in the growth rate of unsecured loans. T tightness of monetary policy and macroprudentic restrictions will contribute to a decrease in demand for consumer loans, especially in segments with a high indicator of debt load. Therefore, the forecast growth range is set within -1 to +4%.
