Diana Mishchenko listened for six months to the case against the notorious businessman and ex-agent of the Directorate M of the FSB Andrei Chesnokov. During these six months, Mishchenko figured out that the case was within the jurisdiction of the Golovinsky court, because money for construction was leaving the accounts of GVSU-13, which was located in this area of Moscow. And at the request of the defense, she decided to send the materials to the court of the northern district. This caused the indignation of the Prosecutor General’s Office (POG), because the Khamovnichesky Court had already considered the cases of two pre-trial defendants and such a decision jeopardized the main case.
Having considered the submission of the GP, the Moscow City Court found significant violations in the actions of Judge Mishchenko and decided to return the case for consideration to the same Khamovnichesky court, and even to the same Judge Mishchenko.
After this decision, the newspaper Kommersant published a note that the investigation into the case and thefts at the Ministry of Defense in relation to Chesnokov and Co. had been completed and would be considered in court, although it had been languishing there for six months already.
Chesnokov is known for his participation in a number of developments by the Directorate of M of the FSB. The investigator of the SD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who initiated this case against a businessman for theft from the Ministry of Defense, also ended up in a pre-trial detention center
