The authorities are massively refusing the promised assistance in the amount of 10 thousand rubles to people who evacuated from dangerous areas of the Kursk region. Those who are in temporary detention centers have a chance to get it. Those who rented housing or stayed with relatives automatically receive refusals through State Services. Here is just one of a number of letters received by the Cheka-OGPU.

“I would like to share the following problem. Those who left the “resettled” settlements are being massively denied the payment of 10 thousand rubles, which was announced by the President of the Russian Federation (officially, the payment is due to those who left their housing after shelling of the Kursk region during the Northern Military District). I I have permanent registration in the area, which is currently subject to mandatory evacuation. I got to Moscow by train, where I am waiting for the situation to stabilize. I cannot return home, since the settlement is closed for entry, plus there are active hostilities in the vicinity. State services, however, the payment was denied. Without discussing the amount of the payment, I want to say that the problem is widespread. Many of the same refugees are denied payments. Probably, the situation is a little better for those who were “evacuated” to the temporary detention center, but many of those those who evacuated during the “voluntary” evacuation to relatives, to rented housing, find themselves “in the dust” and, in fact, cannot hope for this money.”

Stories of refusal to pay are widely reported on forums by residents of Sudzha.
