The investigation claims that there are 12 thousand “victims”, but the official victims were “scraped together” in a year of just over a hundred, while the total amount of their claims is 115 million rubles. This is more than 10 times less than the amount of the cooperative’s assets – more than 15 billion rubles (cash plus real estate).
Over the course of the year, the investigation lost several trials to seize property, the last time on January 18, when the court of first instance refused to extend the seizure of most of the cooperative’s funds for a new period, however, the banks were “persuaded” to wait for the appeal.

The renewed St. Petersburg investigative team will apparently try to take revenge. And if her work ends in failure, which is very likely, the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will get a chance to try its luck.
