All-Russian public movement “Veterans of Russia” asked to check the Union of Armenians of Russia for showing a film about collaborator Garegin Nzhdeh.

Let us remind you that today, on the day of the 30th anniversary of the Armenian Army, the Union of Armenians of Russia showed the film “Garegin Nzhdeh” in Moscow. “The painting is dedicated to the glorification of the Armenian national figure Garegin Nzhdeh during the Great Patriotic War, who served Hitler against the USSR,” the appeal says.

Veterans note that any attempts to justify Nazi criminals and their accomplices “are not just a falsification of history – they are immoral in nature.”
In connection with the announced screening of a film about a collaborator, veterans ask to check the Union of Armenians for the rehabilitation of Nazism and its accomplices.

In their appeal, the veterans cite the interrogation protocols described in Vache Hovsepyan’s book “Garegin Nzhdeh and the KGYu. Memoirs of an intelligence officer.” In particular, it is mentioned that Hitler’s accomplice Nzhdeh was involved in the recruitment and training of saboteurs.

This is not the first precedent of this kind. There have already been screenings of the film and books dedicated to Nzhdeh at the Moscow International Book Fair. And now here is a new film screening. Which once again confirmed: in Russia, where at every opportunity they emphasize their exceptional role in the defeat of Nazi Germany, and the morning after Holocaust Remembrance Day, you can organize a ceremonial screening of a film about a Nazi criminal.
