State prosecutor Ekaterina Frolova was taken to the Prosecutor General’s Office. The promotion occurred after participation in Navalny’s affairs.

In her new capacity – an employee of the State Prosecutor’s Office – Frolova supported the accusation against State Duma deputy Vadim Belousov for bribes worth 3.2 billion rubles.

Ekaterina Frolova is 33 years old, but already in mid-2015, as an assistant prosecutor of the Central Administrative District of Moscow, she took third place in the category “Best public prosecutor with over five years of experience.”

After the award, Ekaterina Sergeevna continued to work as an assistant prosecutor of the Central Administrative District for at least five years. In this status, she supported the charges against lawyer Georgy Antonov (310 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), blogger Anton Nosik (282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), defendants in the extremist “Army of the People’s Will”, including RBC journalist Alexander Sokolov, and others.

In 2020, Frolova was promoted from the Central Administrative District to the city prosecutor’s office. Then she was entrusted with Navalny’s case: replacing the suspended sentence policy in the Yves Rocher case with a real one and defending the defamation charges against the veteran. Thus began rapid growth.

In February 2021, Ekaterina Frolova began coming with security to the trial to replace Navalny’s sentence, and the prosecutor was taken under state protection. At the same time, harassment of the lieutenant colonel began on the Internet; her home address, telephone number, car number and other data were published. A month later, the publication Znak-com published a note under the heading “The namesake of the prosecutor in the Navalny cases received an apartment for ₽19 million from the Moscow authorities” (the 80-meter apartment in Western Degunino was received in February 2017). But soon note removed from the site.
