The Cheka-OGPU has learned the biography of the main person accused of murdering a couple of animators near Krasnodar. 31-year-old native of Novorossiysk and resident of the village of Pridorozhnaya, Demyan Kevorkian, grew up on the street from a young age and broke the law. He studied at a closed special school for juvenile delinquents, escaped from there, at the age of 15 he cleaned out a store by sneaking in through a window, and at the age of 17 he was put on the federal wanted list as a mental patient who had escaped from a place of detention.
After coming of age, Demyan completely went on a rampage: he caused accidents with victims, robbed and committed hooliganism, for which he was repeatedly brought to justice. At the age of 24, the notorious criminal was caught as the organizer of a gang that committed robberies on the highway, weapons trafficking, thefts and extortion. One of the victims was killed. At the same time, Demyan confessed to some episodes himself, but despite turning himself in, in 2016 he was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
According to the Cheka-OGPU, Kevorkyan was transferred to IK-2 in the village of Talitsy, Ivanovo region. There he was first assigned to detachment number 3, and later he was transferred to the 5th detachment. From the first days in the colony, the newcomer refused to work and follow the regime.
“For the time being, Demyan was a criminal, watching. They locked him in a punishment cell, but there was no occupational record on him. I watched the game in the camp, the general team. The 5th barrack is a worker, but he himself did not go to work. But for a couple of years it was taken off the road. They presented me, asked me, I don’t remember why, maybe he moved bullshit somewhere, maybe he messed up with general affairs. But among the masses he remained.”
According to the source, after the incident with other criminal prisoners, Kevorkian sat quietly “with the men” and did not speak anywhere. In the colony, he had close contact with only one convict with the same long term, named Sbitenev, nicknamed Bita, who became the overseer of the 5th detachment after Demyan. When the recruiters of the PMC Wagner arrived, he did not hesitate to enroll in their ranks and at the end of last year he was taken from IK-2 as part of about a hundred of the same convicts to the SVO zone. In the detachment, he said that he was leaving to fight because of his long sentence.
