A relative of one of the convicts serving his sentence in Correctional Colony No. 2 of Talitsa, Ivanovo Region, told “Important Stories” about this.
According to our publication’s interlocutor, 150 people are being prepared for departure from IK-2. They can be taken out of the colony as early as this Thursday, September 1. It is assumed that they will be taken from Ivanovo to Rostov-on-Don, where they will undergo “two weeks of training.”
Recruit prisoners as in many other casesYevgeny Prigozhin personally came to IK-2 with the Hero of Russia star on his chest. Even the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Ivanovo region, Vasily Melyuk, was with him, the interlocutor of “Important Stories” said.
“Prigozhin told them how cool it was to be in his group of “soldiers of fortune.” He said that the convicts would kill the enemy and nothing would happen to them for it. He swore that in the event of death, the body of the murdered person would be returned to his relatives – supposedly this is a fundamental point for him, and the relatives would be paid 5 million rubles.
He also said that he had [Пригожина] there are three requirements for “volunteers”: do not rape women, do not use drugs and do not run away – deserters, according to him, will be shot.”
Among other things, Prigozhin, according to our source, told how he fought “in the interests of Russia in Africa” and “cut off the ears of blacks,” that he “served 10 years,” but atoned for his sins before his homeland and is now “twice Hero of Russia.”
After this meeting, the “volunteers” were taken for an “interview” and were asked for their head size, shoe size, height and weight. They wrote a petition for clemency. The convicts did not sign any contracts: they were promised to be given the papers to sign “on the spot.”
Tomorrow, August 31, priest Father Igor will come to IK-2 to hold a prayer service at the local monastery “for the soldiers who signed up for the special operation.”
According to our source, prisoners are discussing among themselves that groups of people from other colonies in the Ivanovo region are also being prepared to be sent to Ukraine. According to their information, 300 people from IK-4 (Kineshma) wanted to join Wagner, and another 200 from IK-5 (Kokhma).
