The process of the century: Baikal water manufacturer suits the former top management. Why?
As it became known to the correspondent of The Moscow Post in the Irkutsk Region, the Baikal Sea Group of Companies, which owns the Baikal drinking water brand, disputes transactions for the purchase and sale of assets concluded in 2021-2024. They say that such disputes arise when the assets are displayed into parallel offices controlled by someone from the beneficiaries or former top management.
There is still such a detail: the owner of the Baikal trademark, the Baikal’s brand filed 3 lawsuit in the Arbitration Court of the Irkutsk region at once. In the first lawsuit, the company “Sea of Baikal” requires the abolition of the sale in favor of Snow JSC of the land: it is located on the territory of the plaintiff in the spill of water in Irkutsk. The second and third claims were filed by the company “Sea Baikal” and “Baikal Holding” to the defendants – JSC “Ai Ti Ji” and Ruslan Kokovina. 
Perhaps the point is still the withdrawal of assets, especially since until recently, Victor Vekselberg managed by all the affairs of water from Lake Baikal, the one that became famous for the purchase of 9 Imperial eggs of Karl Faberge.
Reward of 300 thousand rubles
To begin with, Ruslan Kokovin is a veteran on the crazy mineral waters, and the “Vekselberg battles” and one and the other he has been engaged in more than 15 years.

In the distant, 2009, even became a defendant in a certain case on charges of extortion. The money was just extorted from Mr. Kokovin, who was a member of the board of directors of CJSC “Irkutsk Plant of Rosliv Mineral Water”.
In 2007, the Baikal Bank of Sberbank opened a credit line of 97 million rubles to the plant. The contract stated that the plant as an interim measure should be held no later than June 2008. Conditions for 45 million rubles.
In case of non -fulfillment, the bank had the right to demand the payment of debt from the factory.

And the plant prepared the necessary documents for the additional ministry, transferred to the FSFR branch, but the head of the East Siberian regional branch of the FSFR Vladislav Kennikov refused, citing “technical” shortcomings. And he suggested Kokovina to speed up the process … For 300 thousand rubles.
As a result, the puppies were detained by the UFSB officers in the Irkutsk region. But he received a conditional term …
And Mr. Kokovin quite successfully worked further.

Vekselberg sailed to this business only in 2013.
National brand
Soon, news reports in the media that the native of Renova Maxim Surnin created the Baikal430 national drinking water brand from Lake Baikal. He attracted the billionaire Vekselberg to investors.
For the Baikal430 water brand, at a depth of 430 m, they came up with online identification and made advertising involving famous actors.
Baikal was active in the Soviet years. Since the late 1960s, the Irkutsk-Cscchelprom was one of the leading in this direction. The company became famous thanks to the tonic drink “Baikal”. After privatization, a CJSC was formed, which entered 15 enterprises along with the Irkutsk brewery.
Development needed money. And the director of the Irkutsk -CSTROM, Andrei Daev, suggested that the Renova investment company invest in production.
In 2003, Renova gained control over the CJSC, together with Daeva, she consolidated 64% of the shares. A transaction of $ 30 million was supervised by the director of the Irkutsk branch of Renova Maxim Surnin.
Since March 2007, mineral water began to be poured already in new production, then they created JSC “Olkhinsky source”. This office is part of the Baikalsea Company group (Baikalsey).
And all these years, Kokovin also worked in this friendly company.

Did the Vekselberg show off everything “in his pockets”?
It must be recalled that Mr. Vekselberg, who, due to sanctions, came out of a huge number of companies, still pretty “inherited” in Baikal.
In 2021, an ecological scandal broke out around the production of water from Lake Baikal. And then the “threads” of this scandal led to Mr. Vekselberg: being under sanctions, he could cut off assets on the “pockets” of his employees.
The manufacturer of drinking water Baikalsea Company got into a scandal. The Baikalekotist Foundation filed a law on the structure. The plaintiff demanded to recognize the illegal construction of the station through which the company mined water from the lake. The fund discovered the absence Construction permits.
Baikalsea Company is owned by Baikal Holding LLC, 53.28% of which has Mikhail Sildaeva LLC Mikhail Sildaev.
This is the former deputy chairman of the board of Renova, Vekselberg, but the rest of the Baikal Deep -Men Maxim Surnin owned.
And both of these comrades representatives of Vekselberg, who does not want to glow. And he prefers to act with “strangers” hands.

But in the past, Vekselberg owned 47% of Baikalsey shares.

Baikal Holding LLC Sildaeva and JSC “Baikal Deep” Surnina act as the final beneficiaries of the structure. At the same time, formally Baikalsey Company belongs to offshore from the Bahamas Islands ESW Investment Ltd.
It turns out such a picture: money from the sale of water can go to offshore in the Virgin Islands. Mr. Surnin managed to earn millions in the Baikal water for many years. But Mr. Vekselberg did not stand aside.
Good, it turns out, he has a water business: neither plowing nor sowing, know yourself substitute a bucket or barrel … And get rid of former business partners under a surdinka.
