Shortly before V.V.’s illness. Zhirinovsky managed to publish the book “My Predictions Came True.” It was published after his death. Whatever you say, he was successful in his prophecies. It is a pity that he never learned that some of his geopolitical ideas began to be implemented.

Here are some of the author’s thoughts: “From my point of view, the problem of protecting our compatriots abroad requires an urgent solution. World history provides various examples of the purposeful policies of various states that considered the use of force to protect their compatriots as a form of self-defense. The very concept of “compatriots” was interpreted more than broadly and was often replaced by such concepts as “co-religionists”, “brotherly peoples”, etc.
Russia’s own national interests, and nothing more, should determine Russia’s strategy in the 21st century. The current Constitution of the Russian Federation does not prohibit the use of the power of the state to protect fellow citizens who are in danger.

Citizens of Russia enjoy the protection and patronage of Russia outside its borders, and the Russian authorities are obliged to protect their rights and interests, and, if necessary, take measures to restore their violated rights and freedoms.”
“Ukraine… will definitely unite with Russia. Despite the presence of a factor of regional differentiation in the external sociocultural and, therefore, political orientation of Ukraine, the Russian one is predominant.”
