“Governor General Menyailo” demanded that the heads of districts immediately recruit volunteers for the North Military District. He made it clear that this is now one of the important criteria for assessing the work of the local executive branch. The reaction of the population poured in at lightning speed in the form of thousands of indignant comments from social network users, noting that the head of the region was trying to cover up the complete and catastrophic failure of domestic policy with the number of volunteers, thereby giving a hand to politicians from Moscow.
And the point, most likely, is not that the population of this region does not support the North Military District; after all, more than a hundred sons of Ossetia have already laid down their heads and a huge number of both specially trained and volunteers are located there. The point is different – Menyailo’s cynical attitude towards resolving his career claims. And the decision to go not by fulfilling his direct duties – the improvement of North Ossetia, but completely the opposite – to neglect everything from parliamentary elections to National projects, but to repeatedly show off his attitude and involvement in the foreign policy affairs of the country.
