Member of the Federation Council Grigory Karasin said that Russia’s response to the transfer of the country’s frozen assets will be impressive, the newspaper writes “News”.
According to him, Russia involves the same methods that were used against it.
This morning, in an interview with Dmitry Kiselev, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko stated that Russia would give a tough response in the event of confiscating its assets in the European Union.
She emphasized that freezing of Russian assets or their income is not beneficial to European countries, so they try to avoid such steps.
Recall that on April 20, the House of US Representatives voted for confiscating the assets of Russia in favor of Ukraine and the allocation of additional assistance to Ukraine in the amount of almost 61 billion rubles.
According to the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, this action creates a dangerous precedent of an unfair attitude to state property, for which the United States will be liable.
